Jean has worked as a correspondent for the "Waterbury Republican-American" assistant community news editor at "The Register Citizen" columnist for the Wolcott Community News, and freelancer on assignment for a variety of newspapers including, "The Litchfield County Times"  "The Kent Good Times Dispatch"  "The Litchfield Enquirer"  "The Register Citizen," "The Waterbury Republican-American" and "Housatonic Home" "Business Digest" and "Litchfield County Mom" magazines. She is a theater critic for the "Register Citizen." Her work has also appeared in "The Hartford Courant"  "The Lakeville Journal"  "The Newtown Bee" and other newspapers. She has conducted journalism workshops in middle schools and at the University of Connecticut Torrington campus.

Jean has written brochures and other promotional material for
The Nutmeg Ballet, the Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, vitamin specialists, massage therapists, reiki practitioners, kenesiologists,
theater groups, art galleries, artists, network marketers and others. 

Jean's poetry has been anthologized and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has taught poetry in the schools through the Litchfield Performing Arts Poetry Live program. Check the Workshops page for Jean's online
